United Methodist Church Collection 
The United Methodist Church Collection at Dillard is organized into six record series: Church Agencies, United Women Methodist Louisiana Conference, Central Jurisdiction, Photographs, Miscellaneous Material and Serials. Although the collection is comprehensive in scope, the bulk of the collection consists of the following subjects: African American Methodists, women Methodists and the Louisiana conference.

Trinity Historical Methodist Church Collection 
Currently being processed, the Trinity Historical Methodist Church Collection is comprised of the records of an African American Methodist Church.  The church closed in 2003.

American Missionary Association Collection 
Unprocessed.  A collection of AMA pamphlets, brochures, programs, annual reports and film.

Patton Collection
Harold Patton (1929-2000), stage manager for Ray Charles, bibliophile.
Large comprehensive collection of books by and about African Americans.  Rare books of fiction and poetry make up a large part of this fine collection from Patton's Studio City, California home.  Over 7000 volumes.  Unprocessed.

Beale Collection
Howard Kennedy Beale (1899-1959), historian and former trustee (1957-1959) of Dillard University.
Contains published papers and books of General American histories and Southern history.  Unprocessed.

Richards Collection
Ernest Victor Richards (1886-1960) Motion pictures industry, Navy League leader, philanthropist, bibliophile.
Contains many first, limited and special editions of early 17th and 18th century works.  Contains more than 800 titles.  Scope: History of Rome, Greece and France; foreign titles.  Unprocessed.

Goldstein Collection
Moise H. Goldstein (1882-1972) renowned New Orleans architect who built and designed many of the Dillard University buildings.  Contains early 19th-20th century architectural and literary works; architectural drawings.  More than 350 volumes.  Unprocessed.

Henson Artifacts
Matthew Alexander Henson (1866-1955) Explorer.
Artifacts include snowshoes, parka and sealskin boots worn by Henson on his voyage on the North Pole with Robert Peary in 1909.  

Oral History Collection
Contains audiotapes that record the black experience at Dillard University during the sixties and seventies.  Included are the voices of Dr. Daniel C, Thompson, Dr. Sinclair Drake, Dr. Lawrence Reddick, Rev. Howard Thurman, Rev. Joseph Lowry.  Unprocessed.
 
Spitz Collection
David Spitz (1916-1979) educator and author.
Contains academic texts and trade publications of American and European history and political science.  In addition, the Spitz family collection which chronicles the New York City cultural and political communities during the 60’s and 70’s.  Unprocessed.

General Rare Book Collection
Includes 1st edition and/or signed copies of works by Langston Hughes, Countee Cullen,
Phyllis Wheatley, Frederick Douglass, Booker T. Washington and Harriet Beecher Stowe.  Unprocessed.
